Beautiful Limits, Ten Days of the Omer
Today is ten days, which is one week and three days of the Omer in the year 5783. תפארת שבגבורה , Tiferet ShebeGevurah Beautiful Limits.
Boundaries are a Blessing
Boundaries clarify who we are and who we are not.
Limits give us space to expand into our full selves safely.
When we know who we are, we know who we are not.
Choosing the Blessing of Marriage
At the beginning of this day (last night), I had the distinct honor of consecrating a sacred marriage.
When we find a person who helps us sink into ourselves,
who expands us,
encompasses us,
creates a home wherever they are,
it is one of life’s deepest blessings.
In Community, We Grow Further
Whether or not we have a beloved,
choosing community helps us grow into ourselves.
People celebrating our triumphs,
Supporting us through the darkness.
The Blessing of Beautiful Limits
Rabbi Tarfon “was in the habit of saying, “It is not your duty to finish the work, but neither are you at liberty to neglect it.” (Ethics of the Fathers, Pirkei Avot 2:16)
None of us have an infinite amount of time.
Each of us needs downtime, rest time, relaxation.
And then we wake up refreshed: ready to live into the beauty of our sacred souls. Understanding the natural limits of life. Holding onto the Strength within. Knowing it is connected to The Rock, our God.
