Today is five days of the Omer in the year 5783, הוד שבחסד, Hod ShebeChesed, Splendor within Grace.

A day to appreciate The Arts

Read a poem.

Listen to music.

Allow yourself to flow with the Universe for part of the day.

The structures we create within the world that allow Grace to emanate: this is Hod ShebeChesed, Splendor within Grace.

Watch a music documentary

I love watching documentaries about artists. I love the way the best docs can reach towards the artist’s soul and help us understand how the magic is made.

I watched “Jason Isbell: Running With Our Eyes Closed,” on HBO this weekend. It is such a gorgeous presentation of artists in their elements. To be honest, I hadn’t listened to “Reunions” before watching the documentary. You don’t have to either. It is captivating without any pre-knowledge.

What temple of the soul speaks to you?

Is it hiking in nature?

Swimming in a pool?

Laughing at a comedy show?

Watching a band live?

Dancing the night away?

Curling up with a book?

Sinking into a good movie?

Watching actors perform theatre?

Prayer?

Study?

Talking with a friend without distractions?

Find time for your soul today.

Allow your soul space to speak. Be nourished by the wholeness within.
